For videographers

The booking inquiry
during the shoot.

Video inquiries land while you're filming, traveling to a shoot, or deep in an edit with headphones on — and the couple, brand or agency writing you sent the same brief to several filmmakers. Published benchmarks say replying inside five minutes converts roughly nine times better. The date often goes to whoever answers first.

The edit bay eats the leads that pay for it

Video is a feast-and-famine business partly because the work itself blocks the pipeline: shoot days and edit weeks are exactly when inquiries go unanswered. A wedding films itself into a lost next booking; a brand shoot swallows the week the agency was deciding between three production companies.

And the person writing rarely waits. They shortlisted from Instagram, a venue list or a referral, sent the same inquiry to everyone on it, and started talking to whoever engaged first. Published benchmarks put the median first response at 42 hours, with 63% of companies taking longer than an hour.

LeadsApp answers the moment the inquiry arrives, in your voice — the date, the deliverables they're imagining, the budget range, the reference work they loved — and books the call. The two answers that are genuinely yours stay yours: whether the date is open, and what the work costs. Every draft waits for your approval by default.

The intake questions it actually asks

Yours, in your voice — one or two at a time. A couple planning a wedding film and an agency producing a campaign get different questions; both get answered like you wrote it between takes.

01

What's the project — wedding film, brand video, event coverage, campaign?

Project type routes to the right package family, the right reel, and the right conversation.

02

What's the date — or the deadline the finished video has to hit?

Shoots are date-bound and campaigns are deadline-bound. Gathered immediately, flagged to you — the AI never says you're free.

03

Where is it — and is the location locked or still being chosen?

Travel, permits, crew and light all start with the where.

04

What deliverables are you imagining — a highlight film, full ceremony, cutdowns for social?

The deliverables list is the real scope, and asking it early makes your quote conversation twice as fast.

05

Is there a budget range for the video work?

Asked plainly — it's the question that separates a fit conversation from a kind redirect.

06

Which piece of ours made you reach out?

The style anchor — it tells you exactly what they're hoping you'll make for them.

Hi! We're getting married June 20 next year at [venue] and your film from the wedding there two years ago is the most beautiful thing we've seen. We're thinking a highlight film plus the full ceremony. Are you available that date, and what do your collections start at?

Draft reply — waiting for your approval

Hello — congratulations, and thank you; that [venue] film is one we're proud of, so it means a lot that it brought you here. This is an automated first note from [Studio name] while [Filmmaker name] is out on a shoot today; they'll reply personally.

Two quick things so they can come back with real answers:

1. Is June 20 fixed, or are you still weighing dates?

2. For the highlight film, are you imagining something short and cinematic (3-5 minutes) or a longer documentary edit?

[Filmmaker name] will confirm availability for the date and send collection details [within the timeframe you've set in your profile].

Why: A specific date at a venue you've filmed, an explicit style match to your strongest reference, defined deliverables, and a direct ask about booking — a couple deciding, not browsing.

Read the reply again: they asked "are you available" and "what do collections start at" and it answered neither — the calendar and the pricing are yours. Its job was to hold the excitement and set up the conversation that books the date.

What it will never do for a videographer

Availability and pricing are the whole business, and creative promises are reputation. None of them come from the AI. Review-before-send is the default, so you read every word first.

  • Never confirms, implies or hints at availability for a date or deadline. It gathers the date and flags it — the calendar answer is always yours.
  • Never quotes collections, day rates or custom pricing you didn't put in your profile — and if pricing stays off the profile, it says a human will share it, nothing more.
  • Never makes creative commitments — no shot lists, no 'we can definitely get that', no promises about a style or a song.
  • Never promises delivery timelines, edit rounds or raw-footage access beyond what your profile states.
  • Never comments on other filmmakers or studios a client is considering.
  • Escalates instead of replying when a message is about a live project — a delivery question, a revision request, a shoot-week change from an existing client. Those get a human, immediately.
  • Never contacts anyone who didn't contact you first.

The next date inquiry lands mid-take.
