Plain language. What we collect, why, and how to remove it.
1. What we collect
Account data (email, password hash, billing info via Stripe), usage data (searches you run, contacts you reveal, exports you download), and standard server logs (IP, user-agent, request timestamps).
2. Why we collect it
To operate the service: authenticate you, charge you for verified exports, refund credits when bounces are detected, prevent abuse, and improve search quality. We do not sell user data to third parties.
3. The B2B contact data we index
Our index of 29M+ B2B business contacts (US + Canada) is aggregated from public business profiles, opt-in business directories, and licensed data sources. To keep our compliance posture simple, EU-residency contacts are not indexed and EU IP addresses are blocked from the service entirely — no EU personal data is collected or processed. Any business contact can request removal (see Suppression list below).
4. How long we keep your data
Account data: while your account is active, plus 90 days after closure. Usage logs: 12 months. Stripe billing records: 7 years per US tax requirements. You can request earlier deletion via hello@leadsapp.com.
5. Where data lives
Primary database in US (Hetzner Ashburn, encrypted at rest). Stripe handles all card data — we never see or store card numbers. Backups: weekly, encrypted, retained 90 days.
6. Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability — request any via hello@leadsapp.com. EU/UK residents have full GDPR rights. California residents have CCPA rights. We honor opt-out requests within 30 days.
7. Suppression list
If you're an individual who wants your business contact info removed from our index, email hello@leadsapp.com with the email address and we'll remove it within 30 days.
8. Cookies
Strictly-necessary cookies only (session auth, CSRF protection). No third-party advertising trackers. Analytics is first-party only.
9. Updates
We'll email account holders if this policy materially changes. Last updated: May 2026.
